Residential apartment building Porseleinen Toren delivered

Already formally handed over by developer Synchroon and builder ERA Contour to Redevco on April 5th, the Porseleinen Toren, a 40-metre high, energy-efficient residential complex in the newly developed neighbourhood Nieuw Delft in Delft, The Netherlands, has been festively opened by the municipality’s alderman Frank van Vliet on April 16th, 2024.
The Porseleinen Toren is the first full residential development for Redevco and a tangible example of Redevco’s ambition to grow its residential activities and help resolve the demand-supply imbalance in the housing sector by creating sustainable and innovative residential buildings.
The Porseleinen Toren was developed by Synchroon. Orange Architects is the architect and ERA Contour is responsible for the realisation. Redevco is the proud manager of the residential tower and will welcome the new tenants in the coming weeks. By adding the Porseleinen Toren to its assets under management, Redevco marks its first residential acquisition in the Netherlands.
In total, the Porseleinen Toren consists of 85 rental apartments in a mix of studios and three- and four-room apartments. In addition, there is a collective sky bar with a green roof garden and approx. 200 m2 of catering space on the ground floor. All apartments are also offered with floor finishes. The Porseleinen Toren is built in a climate-neutral way and has, among other things, an innovative EQw installation from Vaanster, which extracts heat from the air and then uses it to heat and cool the building. In addition, materials with a low environmental impact have been used. By planting trees in Bolivia through Trees for all, Synchroon compensates for the CO2 emissions released during construction. Residents will also be able to make use of various sustainable and communal services, such as shared cars, smart parcel delivery and community apps.
